While there are different command sets for accessing information from the cards, there are major differences at the technology level. For the tech savy client, we are trying to give an insight on the basic fundamentals.
Main Chip manufacturers are NXP and Fudan Microelectronics.
Key Technical Considerations for Type B
Type B standard was started at the time when Mifare already existed.
Reader to card communication:
Why use 10% ASK?
· No power cut ---> MCU security, better performance & higher data rate.
Why use NRZ?
· Better spectrum ---> easier to meet radio regulation of FCC, ETSI, etc...
Card to reader communication:
Why use BPSK?
· Theoretically, S/N is 6dB higher than for ASK.
