Identification on Biometrics based on fingerprints is a complex technology in itself, with as many as 4-5 different methods. The finger is touched on the sensor, and its image is scanned for the print. As is established fact, that any two fingers will have a different print, the property is used to make a unique ID for every person, and is generally used to authenticate a person in a same manner as his signature. The application is primarily attendance and access control, sometimes in a standalone mode, and sometimes with a card.
