Special
technology features for further integration
OEM Machine
- Smart card solution to activate a high cost machine at customers end, where
by the machine will only be activated or de activated based on time or the
number of runs. (somewhat a similar concept used in prepaid solutions)
Special hardware password, where high degree of security is
required at a low price, and volumes are high. A hardware based hack proof
system, which obviates the needs of sophisticated software to control.
Hardware enabled backward counting, wherein the value will
always go down, and never go up. Can be securely used in payment applications.
High values can be stored
Special Boolean logics, to
control various logical parameters, without going into software or firmware
complexity.
Other
Advantages and technology comparisons
A latest design, working
directly with a Chip manufacturer and design house
Long term approach, brings
in strategic advantage Future product up gradations will be at a fraction of
cost - our upgrades will keep the product from becoming obsolete at fraction
of a cost of a similar new products
.like our connectivity solutions
developed under development will be integrated in the existing modules at
very reasonable costs.
The card duplicates as a
photo ID card, which is an instant human identification, difficult to carry
other persons identity.
Technology
vis a vis Biometrics
Zero rejections unlike
Biometrics (Finger based), which depends on probability matching. The problems
are more acute as the temperatures go down. Also the technology fails to
address clearly with one percent of all population. This problem leaves users
of this technology with stressful administrative hurdles.
Cannot be duplicated in any
way, again unlike biometrics where high tech frauds are still possible, as
leaving a fingerprint on a glass can make your identity theft vulnerable.
Technology
vis a vis long Distance Technologies
(Current technology
bottlenecks, companies all over the world working to tackle these issues)
Active Tags
Because distance is high,
lots of invalid data is entered.
It is not easy to limit
the technology to a particular distance as distance will change because of
change in environment conditions. This will lead to lots of administrative
problems.
Cost of one Tag will be
around Rs 600 to Rs 1000/-.
Passive Tags
The cost of readers is
very high
20% failure rate, to
record the transactions.
Also, the actual distance
at present is not what is under test conditions. In some cases, there is a
default of more than 70 to 80%, what we have tested.
Constraints
of Contact Cards (Non-RFID Technology)
Limited transaction speed
makes contact technology unsuitable for high transaction volumes/throughput.
Physical contact between
cards and readers reduces the lifetime of the cards and readers.
Tagging and identification
are not possible because of contact constraints.
Disposable contact based
smart tickets are not available in the market.
The cards are not robust for
intensive usage.
Benefits of Contact-Less Cards (RFID Technology)
Very high transaction speed
to address high mass transit applications.
Cheaper infrastructure.
Lower maintenance.
Superior ability to prevent
frauds.
Ability to personalize and add new services
